Challenge yourself to be Your own Coach until you’re good enough to know you need one. FB

train !!!

I trained as hard as I could and I ran as fast as I could and I still gained 00:31 seconds on My5K.
Last year on the same run I did 20:09 chip time, back then I lightly trained and I thought My time could be improved if I trained harder, so I did train harder and this time I gained heavy seconds towards the end of the race:( Why???
I know now I am only going to train as I train and I need an outsider to see what I can’t see, point out My need for improvements and get me faster, I’m glad I see this young grasshopper as I look in the mirror, seek help and you shall become a front runner. :)

Carlsbad 5000 six days to go

Today is a good day not to run for Me. I must have slept wrong and chest is locked up and moving my neck hurts. Well I know I will recover from this and this might be a way for Me not to get out of My taper because I would have had a hard time not running today, but not now.

Does extreme exercise keep Rheumatoid Arthritis away ??

Again research seems to show strenuous workouts or prolonged heavy training can drop your immune system down and that is what I believe is working for me.

All the medication was doing for me was killing my immune system, and the side effects were going to destroy my kidneys,  methotrexate is a very strong drug and when I was taking it I had to have blood work done every two weeks for this very reason.

Today I found another article on running and immune build up and breakdown this one is with Dr. David Nieman who is director of the Human Performance Laboratory at Appalachian State,  it’s in Runners World online, check it out it’s a great read.
